What does Positive Directions do?
Positive Directions is a community based, client-centred, wellness orientated program. We are funded by Queensland Health to provide a care coordination, information and referral service for people living with HIV (or PLHIV) in Queensland. The program is based within Spiritus (http://www.spiritus.org.au/). We have offices around the state of Queensland, including Brisbane, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Townsville.
We offer a quality service by providing each PLHIV with a specialized team of people with HIV expertise in clinical care, social determinants of health, nutrition, mental health, and resources. We provide three unique wellness programs in chronic care self management, nutrition, and mental health.
We work collaboratively with other services in the HIV sector and the general community sector to bring about the best health outcomes for PLHIV in Queensland.
